When you attend a luxury event designed by Modish Parties, the floral arrangements are rarely just centerpieces sitting on a table. We treat floristry as a form of architecture. Our designs don't just decorate a space; they define it, reshape it, and create entirely new environments within existing ballrooms.

Here is a behind-the-scenes look at how we conceptualize and engineer our signature "Architectural Floristry."

It Starts with Structural Engineering

Before a single flower is cut, our process begins with 3D renders and CAD drawings. Massive floral ceiling installations and grand entrance arches require rigorous structural engineering. We calculate load-bearing weights, rigging points, and suspension systems to ensure that thousands of stems can hang safely above guests' heads.

The Illusion of Gravity

One of our signature techniques is creating the illusion of weightlessness. By utilizing custom-built, invisible armatures and specialized transparent rigging, we create floating floral clouds and cascading floral waterfalls that appear to defy gravity. This creates an ethereal, dreamlike atmosphere that transforms standard hotel ballrooms into fantasy landscapes.

Bespoke Kosha Design

In Middle Eastern weddings, the Kosha (the bride and groom's seating area) is the focal point of the entire event. We approach the Kosha as a micro-architecture project. Instead of just placing a sofa on a stage, we build custom structural backdrops—often incorporating intricate woodwork, mirror elements, and LED lighting—which are then interwoven with dense, luxurious floral tapestries.

Sourcing the Extraordinary

Architectural floristry requires an immense volume of premium blooms. We work directly with exclusive growers in Holland, Ecuador, and Colombia to source rare orchids, premium garden roses, and unique foliage. Managing the logistics, cold-chain transport, and conditioning of tens of thousands of stems within a 48-hour window is a massive logistical feat.
